AI Engineer (Energy & Trading Systems) Exclusive job

As an AI Engineer, you will work with large-scale energy and market datasets to develop machine learning models and optimization tools for areas such as electricity price forecasting, renewable generation, demand forecasting and battery storage operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop machine learning models for energy market forecasting
• Build AI-driven tools to support trading and battery optimization
• Perform simulation and backtesting of models and strategies
• Develop data pipelines for model training and evaluation
• Deploy models into production and integrate them with business systems
• Work closely with engineering, data and commercial teams

This is a good opportunity for an AI/ML professional who wants to apply their technical skills to the rapidly evolving energy and decarbonization sector.

• Strong Python programming skills
• Experience developing machine learning and/or deep learning models
• Experience working with real-world data, ideally including time-series data
• Ability to translate business problems into technical or analytical solutions
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical field

Preferred

• Experience in electricity, energy, trading or related industries
• Experience with forecasting, quantitative modelling or mathematical optimization
• Knowledge of battery storage, energy trading or market optimization
• Experience deploying machine learning models into production
• Cloud platform experience, particularly AWS
