An excellent opportunity for a Field Service Engineer (FSE) to join our team due to rapid business growth.

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Field Service Engineer (FSE) to provide on-site technical support for semiconductor test hardware and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and customer support activities related to probe cards, ATE hardware, and associated test solutions.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Equipment Installation & Maintenance

  • Install, commission, and support advanced semiconductor test hardware and equipment at customer sites.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing of precision ATE hardware.

  • Conduct equipment health checks and ensure optimal system performance.

  • Execute equipment upgrades, modifications, and component replacements as required.

  • Operate equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.

  • Follow standard operating procedures and service documentation.

 

Troubleshooting & Repair

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex ATE hardware systems.

  • Conduct detailed fault isolation and root-cause analysis down to component level.

  • Interpret circuit schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

  • Replace defective components and perform corrective maintenance activities.

  • Bench-level soldering and rework activities where necessary.

  • Minimize customer downtime through efficient problem resolution.

 

Customer Support

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.

  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and urgent service requests.

  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customer engineering teams.

  • Deliver service reports and communicate findings to customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Support customer acceptance testing and system qualification activities.

 

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with Engineering, Application Engineering, Product Development, and Sales teams.

  • Escalate complex technical issues and provide relevant diagnostic information.

  • Maintain accurate service records, maintenance reports, and customer documentation.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and field service best practices.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum HNC/HND, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.

  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor test, electronics servicing, or related fields.

  • Strong understanding of semiconductor technologies, ATE platforms, and electromechanical systems.

  • Experience with equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

  • Ability to interpret technical schematics and engineering drawings.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working in customer-facing technical support environments.

  • Bench soldering skills to IPC standards preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in service documentation, reporting, and ERP systems.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Willingness to travel frequently within Korea and internationally as required.
