Company Overview
Our client is a manufacturing company located at Senai, Johor. They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant Manager to support and oversee the finance and accounting functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, cost control, and process improvements while supporting management in strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee group accounting operations, including group consolidation and financial reporting.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
Manage the general ledger, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and fixed asset functions.
Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis activities.
Monitor costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances to ensure effective cost management.
Review and strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial processes.
Provide guidance, supervision, and training to junior finance team members.
Assist management with ad hoc financial projects and business performance analysis.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
Prior experience in external audit and a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Hands-on, accountable, and able to work independently.
