Job Title: Laboratory Director

The company is a global leader in genomic and precision medicine solutions, enabling advanced molecular and clinical testing that supports healthcare providers, researchers, and patients worldwide.

 

They are seeking an experienced Lab Director to lead their Singapore-based clinical laboratory. This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for overseeing laboratory operations, regulatory compliance, quality management, and scientific excellence across a high-complexity testing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all laboratory operations, including genomics testing workflows, quality systems, and service delivery.

  • Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and laboratory performance.

  • Serve as the key representative for the laboratory with internal stakeholders, regulators, auditors, customers, and partners.

  • Develop operational strategies, capacity plans, and performance targets.

  • Ensure compliance with Singapore regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and quality management systems.

  • Oversee inspections, audits, risk management, CAPA processes, and regulatory readiness.

  • Lead, develop, and mentor multidisciplinary laboratory teams.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams on scientific, operational, quality, and business initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in clinical diagnostics, molecular diagnostics, genomics, or other high-complexity laboratory environments.

  • Experience leading laboratory operations within a regulated and accredited setting.

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and quality frameworks (e.g., ISO 15189, CAP, CLIA, MOH/HSA environments).

  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.

  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, communication, and decision-making skills.
