SIP Specialist / SIPスペシャリスト

The position
The specialist will work within the Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP) education project in the OIST Center for Quantum Technologies. Education and research topics of interest include the theoretical aspects of Quantum Computation, Quantum Cryptography, Quantum Communications and Quantum Sensing. The successful candidate will work for the educational course program, the research & technology program, and the global-leadership program with the SIP team members. 

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Assisting the education course development, coaching the research & technology course participants and planning the global-leadership course.
2. General operations of the SIP project.
3. Coordinate communication between faculty, departments in OIST and external stakeholders including funding bodies and governments.

SIPスペシャリストは、OIST量子技術センターにおける戦略的イノベーション創出推進プログラム（SIP）の教育プロジェクトに従事します。教育および研究の対象分野には、量子計算、量子暗号、量子通信、量子センシングの理論的側面が含まれます。SIPチームのメンバーと連携しながら、教育課程プログラム、研究・技術プログラム、グローバルリーダーシッププログラムに携わっていただきます。

本ポジションはSIP助成金によって資金提供されています。

職責
主な業務内容（以下に限りません）

1. 教育課程の開発支援、研究・技術課程の参加者への指導、グローバルリーダーシップ課程の企画立案
2. SIPプロジェクトの全般的な運営
3. 教員、OIST内の各部門、および資金提供機関や政府を含む外部関係者間の連携調整

(Required)

1. PhD in Quantum Information Science and/or Technology or in a related to fields
2. PhD- level of understanding of quantum mechanics
3. Interest in working with industry
4. Ability to speak and write in Japanese at a business level
5. Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office)

(Preferred)

1. Ability to speak and write in English at a business level
2. Numerical skills and educational experiences in both undergraduate and Master’s level
3. Experience of External Fund project for more than 3 years
4. Teaching experience at university level in quantum technologies

1. 量子情報科学および／または量子技術、もしくは関連分野における博士号
2. 量子力学に関する博士課程レベルの理解
3. 産業界との連携業務への関心
4. ビジネスレベルの日本語での会話および文書作成能力
5. オフィスソフト（例：Microsoft Office）の操作に習熟していること

1. ビジネスレベルの英語での会話・文書作成能力
2. 学士および修士課程レベルにおける数値処理能力と教育経験
3. 3年以上の外部資金プロジェクト運営経験
4. 大学レベルでの量子技術に関する教育経験
