Job Description

As part of this exciting growth phase, we are seeking multiple Senior Embedded Systems Engineers to play a key role in developing next-generation automation platforms and shaping the future of intelligent laboratory solutions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for laboratory automation, liquid handling, and robotic systems using modern C++.

  • Architect and implement high-performance, reliable, and scalable embedded software for real-time applications.

  • Collaborate closely with software, electronics, systems, and mechanical engineering teams to integrate and optimize product functionality.

  • Perform software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to ensure product reliability and quality.

  • Define and implement software concepts, technical specifications, and development best practices.

  • Evaluate new technologies, development tools, and methodologies to enhance software performance and maintainability.

  • Establish and maintain coding standards, software documentation, and development guidelines.

  • Participate in software verification and validation activities throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant quality processes, SOPs, and regulatory standards, including IEC 62304 and ISO 13485.

  • Support technical reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers while contributing to project planning and execution.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development.

  • Strong proficiency in modern C++ (preferably C++20) and object-oriented software design.

  • Solid experience developing software for embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS), preferably POSIX-based environments.

  • Good understanding of embedded architectures, hardware-software integration, and real-time system design.

  • Hands-on experience with communication interfaces and protocols such as SPI, CAN, Ethernet, UDP, and QUIC.

  • Familiarity with software development tools and technologies such as CMake, Docker, Protobuf, Git, and debugging/profiling tools.

  • Experience with software verification, validation, code reviews, and quality assurance practices.

  • Knowledge of sensing technologies, robotics, motion control, or motor control systems is an advantage.

  • Experience working in regulated industries such as medical devices, life sciences, or healthcare technology is preferred.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to drive projects independently.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary and global environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with laboratory automation, robotics, or precision instrumentation.

  • Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 13485, or other regulated software development standards.

  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.

  • Exposure to automated testing frameworks and CI/CD environments.
