ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Factory Automation (FA) Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing PLC-based automation solutions across a range of industrial applications. The successful candidate will manage projects end-to-end — from initial design and development through to commissioning and startup — and will support the ongoing troubleshooting and maintenance of PLC-based automation systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and implement PLC-based automation solutions for industrial applications.
• Program and configure Mitsubishi PLCs for process and factory automation projects.
• Design HMI interfaces and configure SCADA systems (Genesis) to support operational requirements.
• Prepare electrical and automation engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Execute projects from initial concept through commissioning and startup, ensuring timely delivery.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-based automation systems to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, clients, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Travel to project sites as required, including potential overseas assignments.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Mitsubishi PLC programming and configuration
• HMI design and development
• SCADA systems – Genesis
• AutoCAD (electrical and automation drawings)
• Basic knowledge of OPC protocols
• Omron PLC
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Experienced Role: Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in PLC / Factory Automation.
• Fresher Role: 0–1 year — fresh graduates and diploma holders with PLC and scada knowledge are welcome to apply.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electronics & Instrumentation (E&I), or an equivalent discipline.
