Company and Job Overview
A leading provider of ophthalmic (eye care) instruments, serving healthcare professionals and medical institutions, is seeking an Application Specialist to support product application activities and deliver professional product demonstrations.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct product demonstrations and application training for customers, including ophthalmologists, optometrists, and clinical staff

• Assist the sales team in presenting product features, benefits, and clinical applications.

• Set up and configure devices and software, while collaborating with IT teams on system integration

• Monitor industry trends, clinical studies, competitor products, and evaluate new technologies for future business opportunities

• Support regional sales and marketing activities through product demonstrations, trade shows, CME presentations, and training workshops across APAC                            

Job Requirements

• Degree in Optometry, Ophthalmic Science, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences or a related healthcare field

• Experience in clinical applications or product training for ophthalmic is preferred

• Knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic instruments such as OCT, biometer, perimeter, topographer, autorefractor, phoropter, and slit lamp is an advantage

• Strong presentation, communication, and training skills, with the ability to educate healthcare professionals and conduct product demonstrations

• Willingness to travel within Malaysia and the APAC region to support customer training, workshops and trade shows
