Job Title: Director, Industrial Biotechnology
Location: Singapore
About Us:
The client is a leading research and technology organization in Singapore. As part of a national strategic initiative to position Singapore as a global hub for sustainable innovation, we are seeking a director to lead the Innovation Office.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the national R&D roadmap in alignment with long-term economic goals.
Serve as the primary authority for fund administration, including designing selection criteria, evaluating scientific proposals, and tracking post-funding milestones.
Act as a high-level diplomat between government agencies, global industry players (MNCs), and the academic research community.
Drive the commercialization of research outputs through technology transfer, licensing, and the creation of spin-offs.
Maintain a high level of scientific credibility to engage meaningfully with Principal Investigators and industry stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Minimum 10–15 years of leadership experience within the Industrial Biotechnology sector.
Proven track record in R&D strategy, innovation management, or technology commercialization at a regional or global level.
Experience in managing large-scale research grants or complex R&D portfolios is highly prioritized.
