About the Job
A global fashion and lifestyle brand is seeking a Merchandise Planning Manager (Fashion & Footwear) to drive inventory performance and profitability across retail and e-commerce channels. This role is responsible for developing merchandise plans, optimizing inventory allocation, and leading an integrated inventory strategy to ensure product availability and maximize sales. Using data-driven insights, you will refine assortment and pricing strategies to enhance profitability while supporting a seamless omnichannel customer experience.
Job Description:
Develop and manage seasonal sales and inventory plans (OTB) across retail and e-commerce channels to ensure consistent stock availability.
Build and maintain channel-specific demand forecasting models that reflect differing customer behaviors across physical and online platforms.
Align demand forecasts with inventory strategies to improve stock turnover, minimize excess inventory, and control costs.
Design and manage advanced reporting tools and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Excel) for data visualization and decision-making.
Conduct in-depth performance reviews and strategic audits to identify gaps, risks, and growth opportunities across product categories.
Lead product lifecycle planning, ensuring availability of core, high-performing items while managing exit strategies for slow-moving products.
Analyze market demand across key channels and regions to optimize assortment depth and allocation.
Develop and implement pricing strategies across the product lifecycle to optimize margins and remain competitive in different markets.
Conduct post-event analysis on promotions and markdowns to evaluate pricing effectiveness and improve future strategies without compromising brand perception.
Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Merchandising, or a related field
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in merchandising, planning, or retail analytics
Strong proficiency in Office 365 tools, especially Excel and Power BI
Advanced data analysis and forecasting capabilities
Experience working cross-functionally in a collaborative environment
Strong knowledge of assortment planning, market research, and inventory optimization
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and digital retail operations
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
Ability to adapt to changing market dynamics
