Nutanix L3 Migration Engineer Exclusive job

We are looking for a skilled and proactive VMware Migration Engineer with 8+ years of strong hands-on experience in virtualization technologies, including VMware 8/7, vCenter Server, Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure, Prism Central, and Nutanix AHV/AOS.

The ideal candidate should have strong VMware/infrastructure migration experience and exposure to Nutanix technologies. The role involves assessment, planning, execution, and troubleshooting of virtual workload migrations while ensuring seamless operational continuity after migration.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute complex migration strategies from VMware ESXi/Hyper-V to Nutanix AHV.
• Experience with Nutanix Move or other migration tools such as Carbonite, Rackspace, etc.
• Proficient in networking concepts (L2/L3, VLANs, IP planning) related to migrations and Nutanix Flow Virtual Networking.
• Hands-on experience in Nutanix Replication, Disaster Recovery (DR) implementation, and DR testing scenarios.
• Resolve high-impact migration issues and performance anomalies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hypervisor, virtual machine, and application layers.
• Collaborate with architects to align migration activities with infrastructure standards and SLAs.
• Perform post-migration validation, tuning, and optimization.
• Familiar with and hands-on experience with Nutanix Metro Availability.
• Automate migration workflows using Nutanix Move, scripting (PowerShell, Python), or third-party tools.
• Experience integrating Nutanix with external systems such as Active Directory (AD), DNS, monitoring tools, and CMDB.
• Prepare migration documentation, including migration plans, runbooks, known issues, and operational best practices.
• Ensure change management, documentation, and reporting are properly executed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in VMware and infrastructure migration projects.
• Exposure to Nutanix technologies is required.
• JLPT N2 or above.
• Nutanix certifications (such as NCP or NCM) are highly preferred.
