【Main Purpose】
The Electrical Supervisor is a hands on construction supervisor responsible for planning supervising and verifying electrical installation testing and pre commissioning activities for the Pure Salmon land based aquaculture facility in Japan.
The role must understand the actual electrical works read single line diagrams cable schedules layouts schematics and termination details and coordinate daily field execution with technicians contractors and other disciplines.
The successful candidate must be able to solve electrical construction problems at site control safety and quality and issue clear English reports that show progress blockers risks and actions.
【Duties Responsibilities】
This is a site execution role. The job holder must be visible on site understand the actual works verify the field condition against the drawings and drive issues to closure with practical options.
〇Electrical construction execution
Read understand and apply approved electrical drawings single line diagrams cable schedules containment layouts grounding details lighting/power layouts control schematics and vendor documents.
Plan and supervise daily electrical work fronts including cable tray/conduit cable pulling panel installation switchgear transformers MCCs UPS lighting earthing/grounding instruments and terminations.
Verify that manpower tools access materials permits isolation requirements and inspection points are ready before work starts.
Coordinate electrical interfaces with civil/building mechanical process equipment automation utilities and commissioning teams.
〇Safety quality and testing readiness
Enforce electrical safety requirements PTW LOTO temporary power controls energization controls barricading and testing precautions.
Check installation quality against drawings specifications ITPs vendor requirements and good electrical workmanship before formal inspection.
Prepare and supervise inspection and testing activities including continuity insulation resistance point to point checks loop checks grounding checks and energization readiness.
Identify electrical defects clashes access problems missing materials or design issues early and propose safe corrective actions.
〇Leadership and reporting
Lead electrical technicians and contractor crews with clear daily instructions expected outputs safety controls and quality standards.
Maintain daily records of work completed cables pulled/terminated tests completed defects punch items materials manpower and constraints.
Prepare clear English daily electrical reports and weekly system status summaries showing progress blockers quality issues safety concerns and required decisions.
Escalate energization blockers unsafe conditions repeated poor workmanship and milestone risks immediately with recommended recovery actions.
〇Key Performance Indicators initial project targets
Targets are to be reviewed after the first 90 days and calibrated to the approved project baseline contract requirements and actual site risk profile.
100% of electrical work fronts verified against latest approved drawings PTW/LOTO status and method statement before start.
Zero unauthorized energization and 100% compliance with LOTO/PTW requirements for controlled electrical work.
=90% first pass acceptance for electrical inspections and tests supported by the role.
=85% weekly work plan adherence for committed electrical work fronts; constraints identified at least 7 days before planned need where foreseeable.
=90% of electrical punch list NCR and test defect actions closed by due date.
Daily electrical report issued on time for =95% of working days with progress quantities photos blockers and actions.
Critical electrical safety quality or energization blockers escalated within 2 hours and recovery plan proposed within 24 hours.

【Essential】
Bachelor degree diploma or trade qualification in electrical engineering electrical construction or equivalent technical discipline.
Minimum 10 years professional experience in electrical systems on large industrial facilities with substantial recent site based construction supervision experience.
Proven hands on experience supervising electrical installation testing troubleshooting punch closure and contractor crews.
Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and translate them into safe field execution.
Experience preparing clear daily/weekly construction inspection and test status reports in English.
Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods codes safety standards LOTO PTW grounding cable management panel installation and testing procedures.
Able to interpret SLDs schematics cable schedules layouts termination drawings vendor packages ITPs and test packs.
Fluent Japanese for site communication and strong English communication: minimum CEFR B2 or equivalent for reports meetings and escalation notes.
Competent with Microsoft Office electrical progress trackers punch list/NCR tools and basic CAD/PDF markup.
Able to diagnose field issues and provide practical solutions while protecting safety quality and schedule.
【Desirable】
Electrical license/certification recognized for industrial facilities.
Training in LOTO commissioning controls/automation high voltage/low voltage systems or hazardous energy control.
Japan project experience or experience working with Japanese contractors and local authorities.
Aquaculture water treatment process plant utilities automation or food grade facility experience.
Experience with PLC/SCADA interfaces VFDs instrumentation commissioning software or digital test records.
Experience using BIM/3D models or construction management platforms.
