【Main Purpose】
The Civil Building Supervisor is a hands on construction supervisor responsible for planning supervising and verifying civil structural and building works on the Pure Salmon Japan construction site.
The role must understand the actual works read structural/civil/building drawings check dimensions and work sequence coordinate contractors at the work face and ensure that construction is safe buildable compliant and properly reported.
The successful candidate must demonstrate recent real construction experience practical problem solving clear English reporting and the ability to close issues before they become schedule quality or cost problems.
【Duties Responsibilities】
This is a site execution role. The job holder must be visible on site understand the actual works verify the field condition against the drawings and drive issues to closure with practical options.
〇Civil and building work front supervision
Read understand and apply approved civil structural architectural rebar formwork concrete steel embed drainage road finish and building services interface drawings.
Supervise and verify excavation earthworks foundations concrete works rebar formwork embedded items structural steel building envelope finishes drainage and external works as applicable.
Check work front readiness before start: latest drawings permits survey controls access temporary works materials manpower plant inspections and testing requirements.
Coordinate daily with civil contractors survey QA/QC safety electrical mechanical process and logistics teams to remove constraints and prevent rework.
〇Quality inspections and interface control
Inspect the actual works against drawings specifications ITPs tolerances and approved method statements before requesting formal inspection.
Verify critical hold points including excavation approval blinding rebar formwork embeds anchor bolts concrete pre pour checks backfilling and waterproofing as applicable.
Identify clashes missing openings wrong levels poor workmanship damaged works or out of sequence activities early and propose practical corrective actions.
Maintain daily records inspection evidence redline/as built inputs NCRs punch lists quantities equipment usage and material status.
〇Planning reporting and problem solving
Support short interval planning and 2 3 week look ahead planning by confirming constraints work sequence contractor readiness and inspection requirements.
Prepare clear English daily reports with measurable progress photographs quantities manpower equipment weather impact blockers actions and owners.
Escalate structural safety quality permit inspection or milestone risks immediately with facts options recommendation and required decision date.
Drive actions to closure with contractors; do not allow repeated defects poor housekeeping incomplete documentation or unresolved interface issues to drift.
〇Key Performance Indicators initial project targets
Targets are to be reviewed after the first 90 days and calibrated to the approved project baseline contract requirements and actual site risk profile.
Daily civil/building report issued on time for =95% of working days with measurable progress photos constraints and action owners.
100% of critical hold points verified for readiness before formal inspection or pour/release request.
=90% first pass acceptance for inspections supported by the role.
=85% weekly work plan adherence for committed civil/building work fronts; foreseeable constraints identified at least 7 days ahead.
=90% of punch list NCR and corrective actions closed by due date.
Dimensional/quality checks documented for all critical work fronts before cover up pour backfill or handover.
Critical structural safety quality or milestone threatening issues escalated within 2 hours with a proposed corrective path within 24 hours.

【Essential】
Bachelor degree diploma or technical qualification in civil engineering structural engineering building construction or equivalent construction discipline.
Minimum 15 years professional experience including at least 10 years hands on construction supervision on large industrial projects as part of owner EPC main contractor or civil contractor teams.
Recent practical site experience supervising civil/building works not only office engineering or document review.
Proven ability to read construction drawings check actual work coordinate contractors manage inspections and close quality issues.
Experience preparing clear daily/weekly site reports inspection records punch lists and action trackers in English.
Strong understanding of civil/building construction processes sequencing temporary works survey controls concrete rebar structural steel building envelope finishes and site safety.
Able to interpret drawings specifications method statements ITPs test results survey records RFIs NCRs punch lists and redlines.
Strong English communication: minimum CEFR B2 or equivalent; able to write clear daily reports inspection notes action trackers and escalation summaries.
Competent in Microsoft Office construction reporting tools document control systems and basic CAD/PDF markup.
Able to assess schedule cost quality and safety impact of field issues and recommend practical corrective actions.
【Desirable】
Construction management qualification.
Training in concrete technology temporary works QA/QC surveying planning or contract administration.
Japan project experience or experience working with Japanese contractors and local authorities.
Water treatment aquaculture food grade process plant utilities or industrial building experience.
Japanese language capability for contractor and authority coordination.
Experience with Primavera P6 MS Project BIM/3D models Bluebeam AutoCAD or similar tools.
