SRE / Infrastructure Engineer (Multi-Product Platform)
About the Company
The company is a leading Japanese technology pioneer specializing in Business Transformation (DX). Their ecosystem of services focuses on digitizing essential business interactions—from centralizing corporate contact databases and professional networking to automating complex invoicing and contract management workflows. By turning physical and fragmented data into actionable digital assets, they empower thousands of enterprises to streamline operations and accelerate growth.
As they scale globally and diversify their product suite, they are seeking engineers to join their core Infrastructure and SRE teams to bridge the gap between high-level system reliability and rapid developer innovation.
The Role
In this position, you will drive the evolution of infrastructure across multiple high-traffic products. The role involves balancing "horizontal" challenges (building cross-cutting platforms for all products) with "vertical" challenges (deep-diving into specific product reliability).
The successful candidate will not simply maintain servers; they will be at the heart of an organization in its growth phase, making high-stakes decisions on scalability, security, and the overall developer experience (DX).
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Design & Orchestration: Build and manage scalable cloud environments (primarily GCP/AWS) using Kubernetes (GKE/EKS). Use Terraform to maintain a robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) culture.
SRE & Observability: Define and monitor SLIs/SLOs, improve incident response mechanisms, and enhance visibility using tools like Datadog and Cloud Monitoring.
Developer Experience (DX): Automate CI/CD pipelines and internal tooling to ensure product teams can ship high-quality code safely and quickly.
Platform Engineering: Standardize operational patterns across a multi-cloud, multi-product environment to optimize costs and security.
Data Reliability: Support large-scale data processing systems (OCR, automation infrastructure, and high-traffic databases) to ensure data integrity at scale.
Technical Stack
Cloud: Google Cloud (Cloud Run, GKE, App Engine), AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS), Azure, Cloudflare.
Orchestration & IaC: Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform (HCP), Ansible, Argo CD/Workflows.
Languages: Python, Go, Ruby, Shell Script.
Data: PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, BigQuery, OpenSearch.
Observability: Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry.
Position Appeal
Scale: Work on high-traffic services that handle massive amounts of business-critical data.
Modernity: Engage with a modern stack including GKE, Argo CD, and advanced observability tools.
Impact: Directly influence the reliability of products that are transforming how companies do business in Japan and beyond.
Professional Growth: Opportunity to transition from traditional infrastructure management to sophisticated SRE and Platform Engineering roles.
Compensation & Benefits
Work Style: Flexible working hours (Core time 10:00–16:00).
Location: Multiple office locations available in Tokyo (Shibuya), Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.
Benefits: Comprehensive social insurance, housing subsidies, employee stock ownership plan, and a defined contribution pension (DC).
Development Support: They provide an environment that encourages technical dissemination, conference attendance, and continuous learning.
Desired Candidate Profile
The company looks for proactive engineers who identify systemic bottlenecks and lead solutions. They value candidates with a product-oriented mindset who understand that technical excellence is a tool to deliver better value to the end user. Collaboration, clear communication, and a sense of urgency in problem-solving are core to their culture.
