■ Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Data Center Operations Engineer to support operations in a live data center environment, including night shifts.

This role requires practical Japanese communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an on-site operational setting.

Candidates without prior experience are welcome if they have a strong interest in IT/infrastructure and are willing to work in a hands-on environment.

■ Responsibilities

• Perform data center operational tasks (e.g. escort, access support, basic physical work)
• Handle incident response and initial troubleshooting based on procedures
• Communicate with on-site stakeholders and internal teams in Japanese
• Follow operational workflows to ensure stable service delivery
• Support documentation updates and operational improvements

Data Center in the Toyosu area, Koto-ku, Tokyo

■ Job Description
You will be responsible for night shift operational support at a data center that operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
Even candidates with no prior experience can learn the job through manuals and on-the-job training (OJT).

Main Responsibilities

• Manage entry and exit access to the data center

• Handle visitor reception and check-in

• Receive deliveries and equipment (package handling)

• Perform basic patrols of the server room

• Verify work requests and applications

• Communicate with relevant departments

• Input work logs (basic PC operations required)

No specialized server-related tasks are required

■ Working Hours
Night shift (12-hour shifts)

Example:
20:00 – 08:00 (with breaks)

• Shift-based schedule

• Approximately 14–16 working days per month

■ Shift Example

• 2 days on → 2 days off rotation

■ Requirements (Must Have)

• Business-level Japanese (must be able to handle on-site communication, instructions, and reporting)
• Strong interest in IT / infrastructure / data center operations
• Ability to work night shifts (core part of the role)
• Hands-on mindset (comfortable with operational and physical tasks)

■ Preferred

• Experience in IT support, infrastructure operations, or data center environment
• Service Desk experience
• Experience working in international environments

■ Additional Information

This is a stable long-term project offering hands-on experience in a real data center environment.

Ideal candidates are practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an operational role.
