Job Description
The Test Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of automotive software systems through structured testing and validation. The role involves analyzing requirements, defining test strategies, and managing test execution. Strong experience in automotive HIL testing and embedded systems is required to deliver high-quality results within timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute test plans and test cases for automotive software using HIL testing
- Ensure full coverage of functional and performance requirements
- Use automation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and LabVIEW to improve test efficiency
- Perform functional, regression, usability, and API testing
- Identify, reproduce, and document defects following defined processes
- Track and manage defects using Jira and TestRail
- Work closely with developers to analyze and verify defect fixes
- Participate in test reviews to improve overall testing practices
- Stay updated with latest automotive testing trends
- Contribute to automation frameworks using Python and Robot Framework
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive HIL testing and embedded systems
- Experience with automation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, Robot Framework)
- Good understanding of SDLC and software testing processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Jira and TestRail
Preferred
- ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst or Certified Automotive Software Tester (CAST) certification
