Role Overview
A global IT services organization is seeking a Global IT Infrastructure Engineer to support the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-scale cloud, network, and server environments across hybrid infrastructures.
The primary cloud platform is Microsoft Azure. However, candidates with hands-on experience in Azure, AWS, or GCP are welcome. Among these, Azure experience is highly preferred.
You will collaborate closely with customer teams and global engineering organizations to ensure stable, secure, and high-performance IT operations.
This position is directly employed by the company and assigned onsite to a customer location in Tokyo.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Infrastructure Operations
Design, build, operate, and optimize global IT infrastructure primarily on Microsoft Azure (AWS or GCP experience acceptable; transition to Azure expected if needed).
Manage hybrid cloud and on-premises data center integrations, including identity, connectivity, and governance.
Operate and support mid-scale Azure environments, ensuring availability, performance, and compliance.
Incident & Problem Management
Lead incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and service restoration activities.
Network Operations
Manage global network environments including VPN, MPLS, and dedicated lines.
Address intercontinental routing and connectivity constraints.
Security & Risk Management
Implement and maintain security controls, monitoring frameworks, and vulnerability management processes.
Documentation & Governance
Develop and maintain runbooks, operational procedures, and configuration documentation.
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
Coordinate with customer teams, overseas engineering groups, and external vendors.
Cost Management
Optimize infrastructure costs and support budget management for cloud and on-premises environments.
Technical Innovation
Research emerging technologies and propose improvements to enhance operational efficiency and system performance.

Required Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Practical experience with at least one major cloud provider. Azure experience is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, governance, and security (Azure preferred).
Experience with Windows and/or Linux administration.
Experience with hybrid cloud integrations.
Understanding of global network operations (VPN, MPLS, dedicated lines).
Strong troubleshooting, incident response, and performance optimization skills.
Language Requirements
Native Japanese speakers / Non-native speakers must hold JLPT N2 or higher.
English: Business-level proficiency for global communication.
