The powerful combination of two automotive technology leaders
FORVIA was created in 2022 by bringing together two automotive technology leaders: Faurecia and HELLA. Both brands share complementary performance-driven cultures and are guided by a shared vision for a sustainable future.
Faurecia
Founded in 1914, when Bertrand Faure opened his first workshop on the outskirts of Paris manufacturing seats for trams and the metro, Faurecia went on to become one of the world’s Top Ten automotive suppliers. Its expertise ranges from full interiors and seating systems to ultra-low and zero-emissions mobility solutions and technologies for automated vehicles. Until 2021, Groupe PSA was a majority shareholder in Faurecia; when Groupe PSA merged with Fiat Chrysler to form Stellantis, Faurecia became independent and acquired a controlling interest in HELLA.
HELLA
Today a leading supplier for cutting-edge lighting technology and vehicle electronics, HELLA was founded in Germany in 1899 – and has remained at the forefront of the industry ever since. With its vehicle lifecycle activities, it also provides a broad portfolio for the spare parts and workshop business as well as for manufacturers of various special vehicles, for example from the construction, agricultural or transportation sectors. HELLA is a listed company in which the Hueck and Roepke families held the majority stake prior to Faurecia.
