As the Enterprise Sales Manager based in our Tokyo office, you will be driving our highest value growth opportunities and increase our client portfolio in Australia, as part of our core APAC Enterprise Sales team.

Majority of our clients at Meltwater are on the SaaS subscription model, however for our top percentile of clients who have a greater need for customisation, Meltwater’s APAC Enterprise Sales is the dedicated team to consult and deliver curated solutions for their unique business needs.

APAC Enterprise Sales handles global sales opportunities, and with Japan being home to many large companies’ headquarters, this candidate will be at the forefront of pushing out our global solutions sales to these commercial and enterprise accounts.

You will be an individual contributor, responsible for the entire sales process as you liaise with C-Level Executives and directly pitch Meltwater's software solutions to them. Because Meltwater is a service that can value-add to businesses across all backgrounds, you will be pitching to organizations at an enterprise level, building upon your business acumen with every step of the way.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Meltwater’s revenue growth through consultative sales to new & existing enterprise level clients in Japan.
  • Business-to-Business (B2B) sales role where you will be responsible for the entire sales process and directly pitch Meltwater's software solutions to potential clients
  • Own the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation and prospecting, to product demonstrations, negotiation and execution of closing strategies, to the final stage of bringing new clients onboard
  • Gain traction and build a sales pipeline comprising of global companies’ headquarters situated in Japan – e.g. large government bodies, agencies, firms which sell data analytical solutions, etc
  • Grow our current key client base into enterprise level solutions through upsells and cross-sells
  • Be part of the pioneer team to set up the Enterprise business unit in Japan
  • Meet individual and team targets
  • Brand and introduce Meltwater's best in class media intelligence & social analytics software, data solution platforms and APIs
  • Develop strategic plans to realize business opportunities in alignment with company objectives and directives in the long-term

Requirements

  • Must be currently residing in Japan
  • Bachelor’s Degree (in any discipline) with strong academic results
  • 5 - 10 years of relevant sales experience
  • Strong proficiency in English and Japanese language (for B2B sales requirements)
  • Familiarity with API sales, technical knowledge of APIs and data analytics
  • Working knowledge of data analytics platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Clear passion for Sales and Business Development
  • Must have a track record of successes and highlights in sales related achievements
  • Knowledge of the full life-cycle of sales processes from prospecting to close
  • Driven and motivated individual seeking challenges
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
