We are seeking a bilingual IT Helpdesk/Desktop Engineer to join our team. This position will be based in Miyagi prefecture, not in Sendai but with easy access, in a small but vibrant and quaint country town. We will assist with relocation and accomodation. 

  • Coordinate with Tokyo internal support desk along with local and US based client managers in support of the client's desktop environment for 1st & 2nd 3rd level issues
  • US based technology managers as the onsite poit of contact while providing support locally onsite with the client , although part of and working with on a daily basis our Tokyo team,
  • Follow instructions given by the Team Lead to complete regular support tasks
  • Troubleshoot IT desktop and other infrastructure and network-related problems as required
  • Alert management of potential critical situations. Monitor critical client problems until they are resolved
  • Set up, install, configure and test computers and tasks on schedule
  • Assist Team Lead by collecting information on client systems and problems faced onsite
  • Effectively communicate client status with Account Executives and primary engineers
  • Utilize systemsGo’s processes and methodologies to provide a consistent and competent level of service to the client
  • Actively build on IT and communication skills

  • At least 2 year or more experience in an IT end-user support or services provider environment

  • Experience with installing, maintaining and supporting office end user environment – PCs, Printers, etc.

  • Basic knowledge on network infrastructure: structured cabling, circuits, network devices, etc.

  • Customer Service – Able to describe issues clearly to end users and Clients’Management. Summarise activities and results effectively communicate with clients regarding their requirements and concerns

  • Work effectively in teams. Follow instructions and see them to completion in a timely fashion

  • Able to work unsupervised and provide focused results

  • Problem Solving – Ability to gather information; explore and eliminate alternatives; request and utilise assistance from other sources

  • Business level or higher Japanese ability required

  • Business level or higher English ability required

  • A desire to further your knowledge and utilize the learning opportunities available
