Working for a global FMCG, this is a newly created role and will take the lead in developing and safeguarding the company's interests. You will report overseas and engage locally with company stakeholders and keep them updated on any developing market intelligence and relevant regulations.
The main responsibilities are as follows:
- Keep the company updated and informed of the latest regulations and thinking affecting the business
- Manage relations with interested parties, internally and externally, to ensure the best possible business environment for the company
- Advise on the formulation of internal policies in response to regulations to manage any risk
- Review commercial contracts for compliance and advise internal clients
- Provide support for dispute resolution and litigation, if any
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelors degree or above in political science or legal-related subject
- At least 4 years' experience of working in a Japanese government role or in government relations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Native-level Japanese and fluent English language skills preferred
