About the role:

We're looking for a talented, customer focused individual to join our team in Tokyo as the Customer Support Manager. In this role, you'll engage with our customers every single day and work collaboratively with the Support team to craft an exceptional customer experience. You'll support our team as they help customers with technical and account issues, while providing thoughtful, focused feedback to various internal teams, to help improve Evernote.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Customer Support, you'll be a part of the Global Customer Experience Leadership team.

What you'll do: 

  • Represent Evernote as a unified entity to customers, collaborating with various Evernote teams to ensure prompt resolution to customer support issues
  • Mentor and coach team members, hire and develop talent, and manage performance
  • Use quantitative metrics to drive operational excellence and continue to improve the Customer Experience strategy
  • Passionately represent customer interests and perspectives to Evernote team members to drive product and service improvements
  • Develop high-performing team members to provide exceptional customer service in multiple support channels
  • Ensure self and team is perceived as approachable

スキル・資格

What you've done:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Extensive customer service experience, people management, and organizational skills
  • 8+ years of experience (3+ years leading a customer facing team in a high-tech environment)
  • Experience globally and offer alternate options to problem resolution where possible
  • Exceptional communication skills. Fluency in written and spoken Japanese as well as strong English language skills to communicate effectively with Evernote's cross functional teams
  • Ability to work independently with little management or direction on routine duties or projects, minimal general instruction on new assignments
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and cultivate culture change
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Ability to lead or direct functions, delegate work, and effectively negotiate issues with CS leadership team
  • Ability to use interpersonal skills to attract, motivate and develop team members
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills and ability to interact with a variety of teams with dynamic skill-sets both internal and external
