Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Pre-Sales Business Solutions Consultant will join a global software vendor and provide prospective customers and sales account executives with functional and technical product assistance throughout the sales cycle. Other responsibilities include leading requirements discovery sessions, modifying sales material, and much more. The ideal candidate will have prior relevant experience in sales & marketing and business/technical consulting.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively answer RFIs, FRQs, RFPs, and other questions from prospects that place the company's solutions in an optimal light
  • Lead requirements discovery sessions with prospective customers and develop ROI analyses as required
  • Perform technical support activities in support of sales of the company's products and services
  • Assist sales account executives in preparation, presentation, and review of proposals
  • Participate in exhibitions, conferences, and tradeshows as required

Requirements:

  • A BA/BS from a 4-year college or university in business, sales, marketing, or related discipline
  • A minimum of 5-7 years' related experience in sales, marketing, business, or technical consulting
  • Strong service management process and product knowledge
  • Ability to present functional process flow, process improvement, and technical concepts in a clear manner to customers
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and present information to C-level, mid-management, and end-user level resources within prospective customers' organizations
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • A professional demeanour
