Job Purpose
Enterprise Architecture (EA) group helps Technology leaders to drive information technology as business unit by enabling optimal application rationalization across the enterprise. As an application portfolio management lead (APM), you work with application owners and SMEs across the IT organization to drive optimal portfolio that are aligned with business capability maps and technology standards. Focus on maintaining the business application portfolio aligned with IT roadmap and technology standards

Key Accountabilities/Specific Activities

- Work with Application owners and SMEs and architects to understand business value of the applications
- Responsible for roadmaps that drives application rationalization across technology land scape
- Work with technology application owners to enforce application lifecycle management aligned with enterprise architecture guidance and reference architecture
- Support the development of reference architectures, standards, and guidelines for exposing enterprise capabilities as shared services.
- Support to establish best practice in application architecture and design.
- Collaborate with solution architects, domain architects, IT delivery and project managers and business unit leadership team to ensure alignment with target and reference architectures, provide guidance, solicit feedback, and identify enterprise IT needs
- Maintain EA KPIs
- Track IT debts and refresh program
- Monitor key EA technology trends and industry standards
- Collaborate effectively with global IS groups in and Asia being responsible for communicating Application design standards within the Japan

Domain-Specific Accountabilities Application Portfolio Management

・ Establish the company application portfolio management in use and key attributes: Risk, Cost and Value
・ Align application portfolio with business capabilities for each line of business
・ Assess applications from business, technology and financial perspectives
・ Align with current and future business needs
・ Contribute to total cost on IT maintenance, technical quality and gaps and enhancement to deliver at best cost and risks.
・ Support Enterprise Architecture governance of the stakeholders, by the stakeholders, for the stakeholders
・ Produce Architecture Health dashboard which can be shared with key stakeholders from both IT and line of business
・ Assess and consolidate the portfolio with TIME recommendation (T-Tolerate, I-Invest, E-Eliminate, M-Migrate)

Strategic Architecture
- Review assessment application value with all stakeholders and select strategy to align with business needs
- Participate in budget and project planning
- Define short-/Medium-term classification related to application life cycle
- Define long-term APM deliverables – TOBE with focus on strategies to rationalize, reduce costs and increase overall value
- Build road map that outline and prioritize overhaul alternatives: standardize, consolidate, modernize and rationalize

Enterprise Architecture Governance
- Manage EA Governance
- Manage local architecture review (ADRM)
- Enhance EA governance
- Establish Standards and practices



1.Accreditation Certification in an architecture framework (Certified TOGAF 9 & Certified System Architect) with 15 plus years of qualification experience

2.Sustain competitive advantage Design front-to-end architecture solutions using leading edge technology to reform and advance company’s local target IT architecture

3.Contribution to advancement of Company
Propose and deliver most suitable architectural solution to IT that contribute to generate extra output and results and support the company and Group strategic goals

4.Application of skill / knowledge
Being acquired Company Group Target Architecture roadmap and highly advanced Information Technology excellence, able to apply and accelerate local architecture into reality by designing solutions to business requirements in a mid and long term

・More than 5 years general IT experience 
・At least 2 years experience in overall architecture discipline (applications, data, technical, etc.) 
・Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience 

Knowlegde, Skills and Abilities


1.Ability to manage across multiple Architectural Domains (Technical, Security, Application, Data, etc.)

2.Ability to mange multiple solutions in the range of 150M yen or more.

3.Ability to design and implement enterprise level solutions encompassing multiple systems including the implementation of new technologies.

4.Good analytical skills and ability to abstract a complex solution
