Client Overview:

Innovative interventional technology Medical Device company with offices around the globe currently expanding their business in Japan.

Responsibilities:

The CVi Product Manager (PM) is responsible for driving the commercial and new product marketing activities for the CVi business group success. The PM is the ‘CVi subject matter expert’ managing key lifecycle activities, providing internal/external product training and technical support, and advising on next gen injector and/or portfolio integration project(s). They are the go-to person for ‘all things CVi’ and will work in close collaboration with R&D, Sustaining/Ops, PMO, Regulatory, Clinical, Sales Operations, Sales Training, Customer Service and Marcom. This PM is capable of leading and influencing cross-functional teams and embodies a ‘customer-first mindset’ every step of the way.
 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead upstream marketing and product development efforts including (but not limited to):
  • Develop collaborative relationships with key functional areas --
     Product Development, Regulatory, Clinical and Finance.
  • Play a key role in directing product lifecycle management/EOL (end of life), NG (next generation) and roadmap planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key influencers to gather VOC to support downstream and upstream activities.
  • Perform thorough assessment of customer and product requirements and preferences as well as the competition to guide decision making on road map strategy and priorities
  • Identify product gaps within the portfolio and provide solutions to fill the gaps.
  • Support business development activities including analysis of fit, market size, business potential and financial modeling.
  • Partner with R&D and the PMO to drive the product development process ensuring launches are on track and projects are resourced and funded appropriately.

  • Create marketing materials, sales tools and programs driving awareness, supporting utilization and influencing apathy. 
  • Partner with cross-functional team on the development of a clinical strategy to support desired marketing claims.
  • Translate the features and benefits of CVi (system and/or consumables) – new and/or improved - into compelling commercial strategies.
  • Analyze, interpret and distill technical and clinical data into marketing and sales tools.
  • Conduct marketing and sales presentations, training and provide advanced technical and clinical insight


Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering and/or Clinical Sciences. 
  • 3-5 years of product management/marketing experience within a medical device/biotech or pharmaceutical industry; 3-5 years specifically in upstream new product development
  • Experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams including (but not limited to): R&D, Regulatory, Clinical, Sales, Finance
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical and clinical data to support commercial activities.
  • Customer-first mindset.
  • Experience interacting with and gaining input from global KOLs and influencers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs – word, excel, powerpoint, outlook.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication (oral & written) and presentation skills. And, attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Global experience.

 
Preferred:

  • MBA or Advanced Degree
  • Previous employment in large and small company marketing function
  • Interventional Cardiology product management/marketing experience
  • Relationships with Interventional Cardiologists/Radiologists
