Strategic role reporting to HQ Abroad
Key role and responsibilities:
•Support the HR Director in the development and delivery of the People Strategy, in line with brand strategy – managing and delivering WW and regional HR projects.
•Supporting the President, CFO and Japan employees in all aspects of HR, recruitment, talent development, Employee Relations, engagement and advice
•Rolling out and building upon the key HR pillars Attract, Support, Retain & Develop
•Ensure that the vision of the brand is communicated fully and our brand values and culture are developed throughout the organisation and we attract the right people to join us
•Build employee engagement and communicating regular interesting content
•Organising regular regional meetings and focus groups where applicable, to raise awareness of relevant topics and build engagement
•Support Regional Management team with the achievement of regional People KPIs, improving standards and delivering objectives.
•Build trust amongst teams and individuals through delivering credible advice and listening to people
•Ensure that our compensation packages are competitive and propose new and forward thinking compensation/ reward strategies where applicable
•Work with the CFO to determine the people budgets and forecasts and communicate to the central HR team
•Ensure the wellbeing of the company's people in Japan through maintaining a harmonious environment
•Identify HR priorities, risks and opportunities for continuous improvement; researching and sourcing best practice, proposing and delivering commercial solutions which enhance the employee experience
•Develop and embed HR practices which reinforce our culture and our employer branding
•Provide advice and guidance to managers on employee relations and performance management issues, ensuring a consistent level of service and approach is taken
•Regularly visit the store locations and ensure the wellbeing of our retail employees
•Attraction and recruitment of key roles, providing a proactive approach with succession planning
•Work in partnership with the HR Shared Services Teams of Japan

•Ability to work remotely with the HRD and HR managers regionally
• Ability to think strategically but also focus on tactical and operational issues
• A solid track record of building strong, effective teams of people
• Ability to engage and communicate effectively at all levels;
•Travelling in the region and overseas is required.
