About the role

You will support the media planning team in providing media planning recommendations and offers resourceful problem-solving internally and externally to support the development of strong client relationships. 

Some of the things we’d like you to do:

  • Have a strong understanding of the local Japanese media landscape.
  • Keep current on new market technologies and innovative solutions for clients.
  • Create, build, and maintain relationships with Japanese and global advertising vendors.
  • Develop and oversee publisher briefs, review responses, develop and send feedback
  • Work closely with the Planning Director to pursue innovation in the Japanese advertising industry
  • Be the agency lead for research tools, delivering data points for consumer insight generation
  • Input into post campaign reviews with insightful analysis, demonstrating the effectiveness of our planning.
  • Brief other specialist teams on our tactical approach to enthuse and provide direction for excellence implementation planning
  • Turn tactical presentations into media plans that excite the client and deliver against their objective
  • Support other team members with developing tactical plans, allocation of campaign budgets and brainstorms for innovation
  • Manage personal KPI and career progression of Executives and review all work to high standards

A bit about yourself:

  • Japanese native with near-business or business level English ability
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • An active interest in digital media and how digital innovation is driving change.
  • A self-motivated individual who is well organized and can manage multiple publisher conversations at the same time.
  • Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration; but also capable of working independently when needed.
  • Strong analytical skills - ability to analyze raw data, a natural affinity with numbers is a must.
