Your new role
The company has a successful operations in Sendai, employing several hundred technical and customer support professionals. As Senior HRBP your mission will be to deliver exceptional HR service to the local managers and employees. This covers a broad area including succession planning, hiring and development, performance management and other global/Japan-wide projects. This position is a mixture of operational and strategic HR work, utilising many different HR KPI and metrics to diagnose and solve issues.
What you'll need to succeed
You should be a successful HR business partner or consultant, with generalist skill set and strong problem solving ability. You should be able to balance local and global needs, and enjoy speaking with all levels of employees. Native level Japanese plus some English language ability is a must. Ideally, you will be able to relocate to Sendai, however it is also possible to be based in Tokyo and visit the Sendai business 3 to 4 times per week.
