Data Center Engineer
Duties will include, but not limited to:                                            

·        Install, move, add, and change (IMAC) server and other hardware in data center
·        Coordinate with local vendors regarding technical support of network and server
·        Provide both scheduled and unscheduled troubleshooting support
·        Manage hardware assets on-site. Coordinate schedules of product shipping and receipt
·        Escorting vendors and visitors inside the data center
·        Report operation scopes weekly and monthly
·        Other ad-hoc tasks when requested by the client
·        Manage backup tapes and internal file transfers

Data Center Engineer ( Sub leader)
Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Act as Team lead when team leader is absent and other occasion required by the operation.
  • Attending meetings required by operation.
  • Conduct necessary training for onsite staff.
  • Managing on site installations – to include storage space assignments and physical installations.
  • Policy and procedure evaluations.
  • Participation in power down exercises.
  • Overseeing cabling activities for data, power and patching.
  • Hardware troubleshooting.
  • Vendor management - quote, order and performance review.
  • Record and report routine and project issues.
  • Staff management regarding their day-to-day responsibilities and activities.
  • Work environment includes DC and also machine rooms.
  • Staff work on a monthly rotating shift.

Data Center Team Leader
Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Manage onsite resources and skills to provide stable operation for the client according to service details.
  • Provide regular status update and monthly report to BiOS management and Service Delivery Manager.
  • Creation of monthly shift schedule for onsite engineers.
  • Attending meetings required by operation.
  • Interfacing with vendors, clients and other groups representing the designated operation site.
  • Conduct necessary training for onsite staff.

Service details

  • Coordinate, operate and monitor all data center operation and main equipment room related activities to ensure operational stability at all times.
  • Physical support (e.g. troubleshooting of hardware, labeling, root cause analysis, trend analysis, break/fix, smart hands, hardware checks and upgrades)
  • Physical network support. (e.g. voice, network, circuit ) including cable management (including heartbeat, HBA, SAN fabric)
  • Hardware deployment, support, supervision & installation. (e.g. construction work, cabling, power, rack/un-rack, server kitting, diagnostic, OS build and support)
  • Site logistics support. (e.g. receiving, relocation, shipping and disposal of equipments) including power downs
  • Stock management. ( e.g. spare parts, cable, kits)
  • Asset Management - asset updating, tracking, gap analysis, reconciliation and remediation to ensure the data is always accurate using Citi specified tools.
  • Capacity management and forecasting. (e.g. space, power, cooling, ports)
  • Security Management - manage the physical security of the site in cooperation with building security, and Investigation Services. (e.g. access control, entitlement reviews)
  • Media operation (mount/un-mount) and support Librarians.
  • Request Management – process tickets as per agreed service levels.
  • Continuity of Business preparation and support – including power-down, COB drills, adequate staffing during staff illness/vacation.
  • Keep all the required evidences. Keep and produce accurate evidence of daily activities as required for control testing, audit, inspection and other purposes.
  • Contribute to project and program activities as necessary. Involvement as a project work stream as required.
  • Handover during shifts, training of new staff.
  • Interface with suppliers, multi-cultural system administrators, clients and other groups as necessary.
  • Document and maintain updated processes/manuals mainly in English.
  • Comply and enforce internal policies, processes and standards.
