Do you have a talent for troubleshooting? A well-known toy import company is searching for an experienced professional to join its team in an IT Helpdesk role. The top candidate selected for this position will possess vast knowledge in supporting PC hardware plus excellent communication skills, and will be tasked with supporting Japan office users, remote users, and home users on IT infrastructure related issues.
- Coordinate with HR on user on-boarding and off-boarding, and handle necessary PC procurement, installation, etc.
- Provide business application support by troubleshooting problems, assisting users with issue reporting, and following up with the remote technical support team
- Monitor, follow up, update, and close support tickets
- Manage local IT hardware and software inventory; maintain accurate records
- Conduct orientation for local end users
- 1-2 years' experience in technical and desk-side support
- Experience supporting PC hardware (Dell desktops and laptops), Windows OS (Win 7), and applications (MS Office)
- Fluent written and spoken English; excellent interpersonal skills
- A proactive approach to work
- Experience coordinating with the remote technical support team to resolve issues for local users preferred
