Responsible for the day-to- day maintenance of the application systems in operation,
including tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting application issues and issues
resolution or escalation.
Responsibilities also include root cause analysis, management communication and client
relationship management in partnership with Infrastructure Support team members.
The position will be managing requirements from clients/user and become the primary
person-in- charge (window person) for certain shared systems while seconded to others.
Ensures all production changes are made in accordance with life-cycle methodology and
Actively participate in the overall changes management process and take lead in status
reporting for particular systems.
Actively take lead in implementing the changes, automation and migration/transformation
Work on architecture and design in regard to the production changes management and
supporting projects initiation/transition.
The position will be responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team
members and or acting as a subject matter expert.
Ensure the updated-ness and sufficiency of documentation.
The position will also needs in depth functional knowledge of the application(s) supported
Skills and Experience:
3-6+ years of experience in Application/Production support or related experience
Knowledge of the following tools and technologies: Oracle, Java, WAS, Web Service, batch,
shell script, FTP, Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience in Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management.
Experience in Infrastructure Support, Configuration and Release Management
Japanese language ability highly preferred
