We are seeking a dynamic and successful senior sales and alliances leader to manage and drive the next stage of significant growth into the devices IoT market both within the Japanese market and with leading Japanese companies globally.The role is an extraordinary opportunity to lead our devices Internet of things growth in Japan, developing partnerships with major manufacturers and silicon vendors and deliver against revenue goals within the region.
The successful candidate will leverage sales, marketing and technical resources to best support company goals and objectives. They will focus on enabling our partners to maximise opportunities across their core markets.The successful candidate will be a proven sales and business person who has strong ability to drive strategic partnerships to maximise opportunities. With an excellent insight into rapidly evolving technology and an ability to think and act at both tactical and strategic levels, you will be part of a dynamic global team that is at the heart of the technology industry. As part of this role, you will be expected to develop substantial industry and market intelligence, assisting our client in expanding it's influence and capabilities.
Execute on regional business plan as well as the breakdown into an quarterly business plan including milestones, KPIs, quarterly executive reports
Work with a team of high-level individual contributors and managers across multiple groups in a matrix environment that supports the operational and strategic initiatives as laid out in the business plan
Establish buy-in from partner management teams for the business plan and sales objectives
Secure successful execution and expected results
Ensure that the proper execution of tools is in place to support processes
Proactively recognizes conflicting priorities and proposes solutions
Represents our client with the cultural sensitivity and business maturity appropriate to corporate access and level of responsibility involved
Required skills and experience
Educated to University degree level
Deep understanding and experience in the M2M/ internet of things market
Japanese as first language. Superior English language communication skills includes verbal, written, and presentation forms; negotiation and influence skills.
Must have at least 5 years of high tech sales experience with a track record of meeting and exceeding assigned quota
Ability to attract, convince and establish strategic partnerships with large organizations at all levels of an organization, specifically including at CxO level
Ability to work with our client'shighly distributed team and be at ease with a matrix managed environment and a culturally diverse company
