A leading international media conglomerate is searching for a talented fashion industry expert to join its international team as a Fashion Category Manager. In this position, you will build on a leading brand as you use your bilingual Japanese/English skills to develop growth strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and work closely with fashion licensees to set future strategies for growth including contract negotiation, product development, sales management, marketing, etc.
  • Develop strategies by sub category, manage key licensees, rationalize licensee base and work closely with the creative team on licensee product development
  • Provide analysis of key fashion categories, devising a strategy and action plan for growth
  • Work closely with other lines of business (studio, TV, interactive, etc.) to maximize synergy effect of properties
  • Prepare and deliver an internal and external presentation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
  • Relevant commercial marketing, sales, licensing or similar consumer targeted experience required
  • A capacity for strategic thought with vision to plan and drive results for success
  • Experience and understanding of the fashion industry
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate with both internal and external audiences at multiple levels (both in Japanese and English)
