Develop and prioritise marketing strategies that engage customers, build awareness, generate qualified leads and drive new business primarily in Japan and other regions as assigned. Effective management, execution, report and budget management of these programmes or through partners.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and coordinate the marketing plan, including events, advertising and promotional programmes and activities
  • conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products and solutions
  • analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
  • develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing products
  • expand and develop marketing platforms
  • manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects
  • monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results
  • determine and manage the marketing budget
  • deliver marketing activity within agreed budget and achieving pre-defined targets
  • report on return on investment and key performance metrics
  • develop pricing strategy
  • create marketing presentations
  • liaise with media and advertising
  • collaborate with the sales, channel and relevant functions in your assigned territory
  • collaborate with the various corporate marketing functions.
  • Provide input and directions to Corporate PR team and/or local PR agency to achieve PR goals, including generating customer testimonials.
  • monitor industry best practices


Education, Experience & Key Competencies

  • Establish marketer with strong marketing acumen in the software industry, preferably in the cyber security space, with minimum 6-8 years of demonstrated channel and field marketing experience in Japan.
  • experience in developing and managing marketing strategies
  • Well articulated and strong writing skills in Japanese and English.
  • proven experience in customer and market research
  • Independent with start-up experience, self-motivated and require minimal supervision.
  • business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • relevant product and industry knowledge
  • Candidate should preferably be based in Tokyo.
  • Ability to engage well with colleagues (local and around the world), partners, vendors, customers, media to establish an efficient working relationship
  • Has a network of vendors and suppliers to support local marketing activities.
  • Build good relationships with media to get maximum exposure.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent marketing activities, including quality lead generation, brand building programs, and channel marketing.
  • Experience in using in house marketing tools such as Marketo, Sales Force, Adobe design tools.
  • Proactive and innovative with the ability to roll up sleeves, recommend solutions, and solve problems.
  • Drive strategy and influence change when necessary.
  • Able to travel when required.
  • Cheerful and enthusiastic personality.
