Take the next step in your IT Support Career!

Test your techncial skills and customer service skills in this exciting Desktop Support Engineer role supporting the Trading floor users of a multinational, Fortune 500 banking / financial services institution.

You will work with other IT team members to support Japanese and English systems including:

  • Installation of software and patches,
  • Building/configuration of laptop and desktop computers,
  • General support for the Windows environment,
  • Active Directory System Administration,
  • Microsoft Office troubleshooting (especially Excel)
  • Email (MS Exchange/Outlook).
  • End-user hardware support (e.g. PC/Monitors, mobile/smartphones). 
  • First contact point for external/in-house financial applications

You will be quick to resolve issues either on the phone or face to face. You will have the confidence to deal with people in an extremely fast paced environment and enjoy the technical mix this role has to offer.

Candidates should be based in Japan, available for interview, and be able to start this position quickly.

スキル・資格

Technical Skills: 

  • Windows 7/10 and understanding of Windows networked environments including DHCP, TCP/IP and Windows registries (relevant Microsoft certification preferred)
  • Remote Access support experience
  • Hardware repair including hard disk, video card, and power supply replacement

"Nice to have" Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Thin Client technologies and Citrix solutions
  • Knowledge of Market Data applications (E.g. Bloomberg, Reuters, Quick, Factset) is a plus but not required.

Ability to adapt to and perform all required duties working in a pressured, fast-paced enterprise IT environment is a must.

 

Language Skills:

Professional level verbal/written communication skills in Japanese and an Intermediate-to-advanced level of English.
