We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, coordination, and implementation of electrical systems across construction projects.
You will apply your technical expertise in electrical engineering, system design, and project delivery to develop safe, reliable, and efficient solutions that meet project requirements and applicable industry standards.
Responsibilities
Pre-Engineering Stage
Conduct site surveys and electrical risk assessments, support preliminary engineering activities and test fits, and obtain budgetary pricing and lead-time information for major electrical equipment from vendors.
Design electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems, in accordance with project specifications, applicable codes, and industry best practices.
Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications using CAD software, ensuring accuracy, code compliance, and coordination with other engineering disciplines.
Perform electrical load calculations to determine building power requirements, considering equipment, lighting, HVAC systems, and other electrical loads.
Select and specify appropriate electrical equipment, components, and materials based on project requirements, applicable standards, performance, and energy efficiency.
Engineering Design Phase
Develop tender and construction drawings and documentation, conduct value engineering, and support the end-customer approval process, including electrical system studies, reliability studies, cause-and-effect studies, RFQ compliance, and EHS compliance.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, vendors, contractors, and other project stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into building designs and test fits.
Address technical challenges and ensure effective coordination between electrical and other MEP systems.
Construction Phase
Prepare and issue drawing revisions as required, respond to Site Technical Queries (STQs), conduct site inspections, lead electrical commissioning activities, and manage as-built drawings.
Develop, implement, and review testing and commissioning (T&C) plans, ensuring electrical testing is carried out in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
Investigate and troubleshoot electrical system failures or malfunctions and develop effective solutions to ensure system safety and reliability.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and electrical engineering best practices, identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
