About the Role

The Textile Materials Specialist (Sales Merchandise) role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in sourcing, developing, and proposing textile materials in Vietnam to support customer requirements and business growth. This position is ideal for a textile professional who combines strong material knowledge with the ability to collaborate closely with sales teams, suppliers, and customers.

Responsibilities
 

• Source and develop textile materials in Vietnam to support both Japan-bound indent business and independent business activities

• Identify and evaluate suitable materials and suppliers that meet customer requirements and quality expectations.

• Collaborate closely with the sales team to propose material solutions and support business development initiatives.

• Support material development projects and provide recommendations based on market knowledge and customer needs.

• Build and maintain effective coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

• Contribute market insights and material expertise to support customer proposals and product development activities.

Requirements

• Experience or knowledge in textile material sourcing, material development, or related areas within the textile industry.

• Knowledge and experience in sportswear, uniforms, fashion, or home fashion materials, with strong sportswear experience highly preferred.

• Japanese language proficiency at JLPT N3 level or above is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

• Responsible, proactive, and able to manage tasks effectively.

• Strong communication and coordination skills to work with internal teams and external partners.

• Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate material solutions.
