Compliance Risk & Governance - Director Level

This position offers broad exposure across compliance risk management, governance, and business-critical projects, with the opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of enterprise-level compliance frameworks while partnering with senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and support initiatives designed to strengthen compliance risk management frameworks, processes, and controls.
- Conduct and oversee risk assessments, analysis, testing, and related compliance monitoring activities.
- Drive governance and risk management initiatives across a complex organisational environment.
- Prepare and deliver reporting and materials for senior management and governance forums.
- Contribute to strategic projects focused on enhancing compliance infrastructure and operating effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and subject matter expertise on compliance risk management matters.
- Partner with stakeholders across business and control functions to support effective risk governance.
- Support broader planning and operational initiatives within the compliance function.

Essential:
- 10+ Years Experience in Compliance, Risk or Control Functions
- Business-level Japanese and English communication skills.
- Experience within a regulated environment, gained either in industry or an advisory/consulting capacity.
- Strong understanding of compliance, governance, risk management, or regulatory frameworks.

Preferred
- Experience conducting or overseeing risk assessments, compliance testing, monitoring, or framework enhancement activities.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and priorities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to build effective working relationships across functions.
