COMPANY OVERVIEW
A Japanese chemical manufacturing company in Berlin is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (m/f/d)  to join a three-person accounting team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Ensure compliance with German GAAP (HGB) and support reporting under international accounting standards (IFRS preferred)

• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and closing activities

• Coordinate and support external audits and statutory reporting

• Work closely with internal stakeholders and the headquarters team

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of HGB and international accounting standards

• Hands-on experience with DATEV

• Proven experience supporting external audits

• Fluent German and English (written and spoken)

• Japanese language skills are an advantage
