PR/096324 | Senior Drafter (Australian Standards Experience)

The Senior Drafter role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality structural documentation for civil projects. 

Responsibilities

• Structural Drawing & Shop Drawing Development: Proficiently use Revit, AutoCAD (and BIM-related software) to develop and revise detailed drawings, plans, sections, and reinforcement layouts for civil and industrial projects in accordance with technical guidelines and standards.

• Technical Coordination: Work closely with Structural Engineers and relevant departments to ensure the accuracy, clarity, consistency, and timely delivery of design documentation.

• Checking & Review: Review and inspect drawings, identify technical issues, and update design changes according to project requirements before official issuance.

• Training & Development:
  For Junior Drafters: Learn and actively participate in internal training programs on drafting workflows, technical standards, and the company's specialized software.
  For Senior Drafters: Lead project documentation, provide technical solutions, guide/mentor Junior Drafters, and participate in knowledge sharing and workflow training activities.
   

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
 

Software Skills

• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD (approximately 80% of the work will be performed in Revit).

• Familiarity with BIM workflows and structural design software is highly preferred.

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and project documents in English.

• Able to work effectively under pressure.

• Willingness to work overtime when required.
   

Experience

• Junior Level: 2-3 years of relevant drafting experience.

• Senior Level: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in structural drafting for civil and industrial projects; Experience working on projects designed to Australian Standards is highly preferred.
