Senior SAP Basis Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Basis Consultant to manage, administer, and optimize SAP landscapes across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The consultant will be responsible for SAP system administration, installations, upgrades, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and ensuring the availability, security, and stability of SAP systems. The role requires collaboration with application, infrastructure, database, and security teams to support business-critical SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Basis Administration

• Install, configure, and administer SAP systems including, S/4HANA, PI/PO, Solution Manager, and Fiori.
• Perform SAP kernel upgrades, support package implementation, and patch management.
• Execute client administration, system copies, system refreshes, and transport management (TMS).
• Manage SAP start/stop procedures and routine system maintenance.

SAP HANA Administration

• Administer SAP HANA databases.
• Monitor database health and performance.
• Perform backup, recovery, and database maintenance.
• Support HANA system replication and high availability configurations.

Performance & Monitoring

• Monitor SAP application and database performance.
• Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Incident & Problem Management

• Troubleshoot SAP Basis issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Resolve production incidents within agreed SLAs.
• Coordinate with SAP, infrastructure, database, and network teams for issue resolution.
• Participate in on-call support and planned maintenance activities.

Security & Compliance

• Manage SSL certificates and SAP security patches.
• Support Single Sign-On (SSO), SNC, and SAP Router configuration.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and audit requirements.

Cloud & Infrastructure Support

• Support SAP workloads on SAP RISE environments.
• Configure SAP Cloud Connector where applicable.
• Coordinate with infrastructure teams on storage, networking, and virtualization.

Documentation

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
• Document system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Collaboration

• Work with functional, development, infrastructure, and security teams during implementations, upgrades, and support activities.
• Mentor junior SAP Basis consultants and share technical knowledge.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of SAP Basis administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA.
• Experience in SAP installations, upgrades, migrations, and system refreshes.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Experience supporting production SAP environments with high availability requirements.
