Company Overview

A company in the information technology field is hiring for a Japanese Speaking Global IT Strategy Manager position.

Responsibilities

• Develop mid- to long-term global IT strategies across applications, infrastructure, and security. 

• Align IT strategy with business goals and create actionable roadmaps. 

• Establish IT governance, standards, and processes across regions. 

• Lead global IT projects, including planning, execution, and risk management. 

• Coordinate with HQ, regional IT teams, vendors, and external partners. 

• Report to leadership and support decision-making through clear analysis. 

• Build strong relationships across global and local teams. 

• Spend 3–12 months in Japan learning existing systems and operations and contributing to global IT improvements. 

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT experience, with expertise in applications, infrastructure, and/or security. 

• Experience in IT strategy, planning, or large-scale/global projects.  

• Strong project and leadership/management experience. 

• Business-level Japanese and English. 

• Experience working across countries and cultures. 

• Knowledge of cloud, IT governance, and modern IT environments is a plus. 

• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to drive execution. 

• Willingness to work in Japan for the initial training period.
