Position Summary

A leading international financial institution is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to oversee all financial operations and regulatory reporting activities. Reporting directly to senior executive management, this position is responsible for accounting, financial control, taxation, procurement governance, regulatory reporting, and team leadership. The role plays a critical part in ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across the organization. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the organization's accounting function, including general ledger management, financial statements, and reporting activities. 

• Oversee budgeting, financial planning, expense management, and cost control processes. 

• Manage corporate tax obligations and indirect tax matters. 

• Supervise procurement and third-party vendor governance, including risk management, due diligence, contract oversight, and regulatory compliance requirements. 

• Ensure the timely and accurate production and submission of all required regulatory, financial, statistical, and group reporting. 

• Maintain data integrity, reporting accuracy, and adherence to internal and external reporting standards. 

• Develop and maintain robust, auditable, scalable, and efficient reporting processes. 

• Oversee finance-related policies, procedures, guidelines, and documentation. 

• Lead, mentor, and develop finance and regulatory reporting professionals.

• Advise executive management and board-level stakeholders on financial, accounting, and regulatory reporting matters. 

• Support strategic projects, system enhancements, and organizational changes driven by evolving regulatory requirements. 

• Manage internal and external audits related to finance and reporting functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a senior finance, accounting, or audit leadership role within the banking or financial services industry. 

• Strong experience with regulatory reporting and financial controls.

• Proven track record of managing and developing multifunctional teams. 

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives, board members, regulators, and international colleagues. 

• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.

• Fluent English communication skills. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. 

• High level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional European language skills are advantageous. 

• Experience with banking core systems and financial reporting platforms.

• Previous exposure to procurement governance and third-party risk management within a regulated environment.
