PR/110816 | Environmental Officer / Environmental Engineer

• Ensure project activities comply with applicable environmental laws, permits, consent conditions, client requirements, and company standards.

• Maintain an up-to-date register of applicable environmental legal and other requirements.

• Coordinate with the admin department and track environmental permits, consents, approvals, renewals, and conditions applicable to the project.

• Implement and monitor the Project Environmental Management Plan, method statements, and environmental procedures.

• Immediately report any significant non-compliance or regulatory concerns to management.

• Identify environmental aspects and impacts associated with construction activities and recommend suitable controls.

• Ensure proper segregation, collection, storage, transportation, and disposal of solid, hazardous, and construction waste.

• Monitor chemical and waste storage areas and ensure containers are suitable, labelled, covered, and maintained in good condition.

• Maintain records of waste generation, movement, recycling, treatment, and disposal through authorized agencies.

• Monitor and control dust, emissions, noise, vibration, wastewater, spills, and other potential sources of pollution.

• Investigate environmental spills/incidents and coordinate containment, cleanup, reporting, and corrective actions.

• Participate in internal, client, consultant, and regulatory environmental audits and inspections.

• Prevent soil contamination through proper handling and storage of fuel, oil, chemicals, and other hazardous materials.

• Ensure environmental documents are properly controlled, updated, and readily available for inspection.

Job Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

• Must have experience working on industrial projects at construction sites.

• Knowledge of applicable environmental legislation and construction environmental management requirements.

• Certification in ISO 14001:2015.
