We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Malay Subject Teacher to join our Secondary School team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Bahasa Melayu lessons, creating engaging learning experiences, and supporting students' academic and personal development. This role requires a committed educator who can foster a positive learning environment, effectively differentiate instruction, and contribute to the wider school community.
Deliver engaging and effective Bahasa Melayu lessons aligned with the school's curriculum objectives.
Develop annual plans, unit plans, lesson plans, and learning resources.
Establish clear learning objectives and communicate expectations to students.
Differentiate teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
Utilize a variety of instructional materials, technologies, and learning resources.
Assess, monitor, and evaluate student performance and progress.
Provide timely feedback on assignments, assessments, and classroom activities.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievement, and development.
Prepare student reports and communicate academic progress to parents and guardians.
Maintain a positive, safe, and disciplined classroom environment.
Support and participate in co-curricular activities, school events, camps, and excursions.
Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development programmes.
Collaborate with colleagues to support school initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Contribute positively to the academic, social, and cultural life of the school.
Participate in marketing and student recruitment activities such as Open Days, education fairs, and school exhibitions when required.
Bachelor's Degree in Malay Language, Education, or a related discipline.
Minimum 1-3 years of teaching experience, preferably within an international or private school environment.
Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach Bahasa Melayu effectively across secondary school levels.
Experience in lesson planning, curriculum delivery, and student assessment.
Ability to differentiate instruction to accommodate varying student learning needs.
Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Committed to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for education.
Excellent command of spoken and written Bahasa Melayu and English.
Applicants must be currently residing in Malaysia and legally eligible to work in Malaysia.
