Technical Project Manager – Telematics (A)

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Automotive, Systems Engineering, or related field.

10+ years of professional experience in the automotive domain.

5+ years of experience managing complex software/technical programs.

Experience delivering embedded or communication-centric automotive products.

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of Telematics, TCU, Connected Vehicle, and Cloud architectures.

Knowledge of Cellular-V2X, 5G/LTE, TCP/IP, MQTT, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

Understanding of CAN, CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, UDS, and ISO 14229.

Knowledge of embedded software, RTOS, Linux/QNX, and C/C++.

Experience with OTA and cloud-based connected vehicle systems is preferred.

Project & Program Management

Experience managing end-to-end technical programs from concept through development, validation, and production release.

Strong experience in Agile/Scrum, SDLC, risk management, dependency management, and cross-functional coordination.

Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.

Ability to work with engineering teams, suppliers, OEMs, and Tier-1 customers.

Automotive Standards & Domain

Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262, and ISO/SAE 21434.

Experience with TCU, IVI, Gateway ECUs, E-Call, OTA, or connected vehicle programs is preferred.

Automotive OEM or Tier-1 experience is preferred.

Language & Communication

Japanese – JLPT N3 or above (Mandatory).

Strong English communication skills.

Ability to communicate technical information with engineers, customers, and senior stakeholders.

Preferred Certifications

PMP / PMI-ACP / CSM.

Formal training or certification in ASPICE / ISO 26262.
