Automotive CAD Operator with Creo - (A)

Job Description

An Automotive CAD Operator with Creo expertise creates precise 3D models, 2D production drawings for vehicle components using Creo software.

Key Responsibilities

• 3D Modeling & Detailing: Build accurate parametric 3D parts, complex assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings following automotive standards. Quick turnaround.

• Exterior Design: Have good experience wrt design of vehicle exterior parts like Bumper, mounting, grille, step, etc.

• Plastics & Sheetmetal: Have good knowledge of plastic & Sheetmetal design methodology. Knowledge of part manufacturing.

• Design Optimization: Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and perform tolerance stack-up analyses.

• Engineering Changes: Implement design modifications, manage Bill of Materials (BOMs), and maintain product data structures.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with CAE, manufacturing, testing, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility.

Required Qualifications

• Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in PTC Creo Parametric and familiarity with PLM tools like Windchill or Teamcenter.

• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of automotive manufacturing processes (casting, injection molding, or sheet metal) and GD&T standards.

• Education: Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

• KOLA: Knowledge is KOLA to be preferred.
