PR/161074 | Senior Buyer

A US based equipment manufacturing company is looking for Senior Buyer as part of their expansion plan in Penang, Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage direct and indirect procurement activities for assigned suppliers and commodities.

• Handle the full purchase order lifecycle, including order placement, expediting, rescheduling, cancellations, and invoice resolution.

• Coordinate ECR/ECO implementation and manage material returns per MRB procedures.

• Source and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best cost, quality, delivery, and service.

• Build strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.

• Proactively resolve supply chain issues and support sourcing and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Maintain accurate procurement data and ensure process compliance.

Job Requirements

• Experience managing outsourced manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, and component suppliers, including supplier performance management and commercial negotiations.

• Hands-on experience with SAP, particularly MM (Materials Management) and PM (Plant Maintenance) modules

• Ability and willingness to travel locally and within Asia to support supplier development and business requirements.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline preferred.

• Minimum of 6 years' purchasing or procurement experience within the semiconductor equipment manufacturing industry or a high-technology environment.
