【Job Responsibilities】

＜Role Overview＞
NABLA Mobility is a startup developing SaaS products specialized for the aviation industry. The aviation market is truly global, and our products are growing with the premise of being provided to international airlines, not just domestically.
As both our business and products enter an expansion phase, we are looking for a Software Engineer who can lead user problem-solving through technology.
You will proactively drive the following:

• Drive product features end-to-end, from problem definition to production deployment and operation.
• Design and develop web applications, mobile apps, APIs, and backend services.
• Design and implement data models, data processing pipelines, and data integration with external systems.
• Translate complex flight operations and predictive data into intuitive UIs and functional features.
• Understand issues and validate hypotheses through direct dialogue with airline users.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner on requirement definition and prioritization.
• Incorporate customer feedback gathered by the Business Development team into the product.
• Collaborate with designers, data scientists, and aviation domain experts.
• Continuously improve architecture, code quality, data quality, reliability, and development processes.

Misson:
NABLA Mobility Inc. is a startup driving operational optimization in the aviation company through the development and provision of strategic network solutions powered by AI and machine learning (ML).
Despite advances in technology, decision-making in the aviation sector still heavily relies on manual processes and expert judgment. As a result, issues such as turbulence, traffic congestion, and delays continue to impact flight safety, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
We address these uncertainties by conducting advanced analyses of real-time and historical flight operation data.
Our flight optimization software, "Weave", functions as a decision-support tool that quantitatively evaluates trade-offs and proposes optimal solutions for strategic flight changes. It enables airlines to reduce fuel consumption while enhancing safety.
In addition, our software "OBST" semi-automates obstacle data processing. Based on NOTAMs and AIP information around airports, OBST quickly and easily evaluates the impact of obstacles and automates the takeoff performance calculation process. It is designed to accommodate the specific operational conditions of each airline.
We also offer a flight disruption forecasting solution, which detects potential operational irregularities in advance and supports timely, effective responses.

【Salary】
Annual Salary: 6 million yen – 8 million yen
*Overtime Pay: Statutory overtime (125%) / Statutory holidays (135%) / Late-night work (25%)

【Required Qualifications】

• Proven experience independently driving complex product features end-to-end, from problem definition to production deployment.
• Experience developing and operating products in a production environment.
• Experience with incident response, monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Professional experience with TypeScript, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Experience in developing web applications and APIs.
• Business-level or higher English communication skills.

【Preferred Qualifications】

• Experience designing and implementing data models, data processing pipelines, and data integrations.
• Experience developing applications that handle maps, charts, or large-scale data.
• Experience with AWS, serverless architectures, and container-based infrastructure.
• Experience developing products that leverage Machine Learning.
• Experience working in the aviation industry or other complex business domains.
  *Prior experience in the aviation industry is not required. We highly welcome candidates who are genuinely interested in our users' workflows and possess a proactive attitude toward learning the aviation operations domain.
