Company Overview

A growing electronics manufacturing company is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, and production-line expansion activities at its manufacturing facility in Penang.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, set up, and commission new production equipment and machinery.

• Conduct equipment testing, evaluation, and acceptance activities.

• Support production line expansion and new equipment integration projects.

• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.

• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

• Improve equipment stability, performance, and operational reliability.

• Minimize machine downtime and support continuous production operations.

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency production situations.

• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvement initiatives.

• Support equipment reliability and process optimization projects.

• Maintain maintenance records and technical documentation.

• Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Experience in equipment maintenance, machine troubleshooting, repair, or manufacturing support.

• Experience in electronics manufacturing or semiconductor environments will be an added advantage.

• Fresh graduates with strong hands-on technical exposure are encouraged to apply.

• Knowledge of equipment maintenance, machine troubleshooting, and repair.

• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.

• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, automation systems, or production machinery.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Hands-on and technically driven.

• Able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Willing to perform standby duties and shift work when required.

• Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English is preferred.
